Umtha is a fair trade jewellery business handcrafting beaded jewellery since 1992.Our vision is to design and produce quality, innovative jewellery; with a proudly South African flair; at affordable prices; to a variety of customers across the world.

Inspired by

We are inspired by South Africa and the great need that so many people in our country have for employment and better living conditions. We aim to make a difference in people’s lives; particularly those who have limited fair wage job opportunities.

Greatest achievements

We have recently been recognized as a fair trade organization and have become members of COFTA (Co-operation for fair trade in Africa) and WFTO (World Fair trade Organisation).
