Core business

I am director of Odd Enjinears South Africa with a sister company in the Netherlands. I work with sculpture in motion – water driven mechanical plays, children’s play structures and the like. Often my work has a musical aspect; cycles of motion causing cycles of sound. I also work on a project by project basis on large scale site specific works which involve many participants and are multi-disciplinary. More recently I have an interest in designing works which incorporate commissions from a variety of sculptors and craft-workers.

Greatest achievements

My greatest achievement is my next work.
Odd Enjinears BlackSmith was our best site specific show
Odd Enjinears in the Dungeon at Cape Town Castle was a fabulous music machine.
The water sculpture at the Old Biscuit Mill is a teaser for great ideas and the play structure in Town Center Mitchels Plain keeps thousands of children happy…..

Future plans

To name one, I would like to build some really large scale water driven sculptures in carefully chosen sites. Water can be overwhelmingly beautiful or hugely dramatic.
