Wits University: Degree in Art, studying with Judith Mason and Prof Heather Martienssen.
Unisa: Further Art degree.
Art Courses: University of Southern California ( oil painting); Salzburg SommerAkademie fur Bildende Kunst (Design).
Teaching art for over 20 years.
Exploring art in San caves; numerous Architecture sites and Art collections in 5 continents.
Have exhibited in numerous group shows, galleries, and have had 3 solo exhibitions.
Artwork in 4 overseas countries.

Inspired by

A SENSE of PLACE, especially the many different wonders in nature! Much of my work is in response to the oceans, mountain panoramas; the grandeur I experienced in Antarctica: icebergs, marine life, the polar plateau; encounters with God's amazing creation. One of my aims is to communicate the uniqueness and fragility of the natural environment.

Greatest achievements

I had the opportunity to work in Antarctica as a member of the S.A. National Antarctic Expedition (2 years ago) as Artist- in Residence.
