Creative background

I have been painting, teaching and working in visual art and craft projects for many years. My family are all creative people and I work in an international network which has become an extended family: The Triangle Arts Trust Network.

Inspired by

I worked as a student at the Johannesburg Art Foundation with Bill Ainslie and David Koloane. My inspiration comes from diverse sources and usually becomes evident retrospectively.

Greatest achievements

My greatest achievement is remaining immersed in the creative process; this may be daily activities or studio work.

Future plans

Just to keep working, stay awake to possibilities and exchange.

Reasons to love Cape Town

I have lived on the slopes of Signal Hill for twenty five years. The mountain changes with the climate, as do the politics and the people. Cape Town is interactive, out on a limb and changing. It is very good to go away, over the mountains, across the sea in order to return.
