Creative background

I studied fine art at UCT majoring in sculpture in 1999.
Started my business in 2004.

Inspired by

A lot of things.
Leaves, trees, geometry, plants, thought experiments, natural progression, experimentation, play, prior experience, space and the universe, matter, my medium of choice.

Greatest achievements

Organising my business so that I can handle it (work in progress).
Two amazing workshops in Zimbabwe recently working with women that can surely weave.
South African International Young Design Entrepreneur of the year 2006 for the British Council.
Elle Decoration designer of the year award 2006.
Elle Decoration lighting designer of the year 2006.

Future plans

More development work with rural/semi-rural communities around Africa and the world.
Connecting crafts from different countries.
Workshops showing how waste can be transformed by simply seeing it differently.
