Creative background

Studied Fine Art in South Africa and the U.K. during the 1980s and started working in porcelain in 1988.

Inspired by

Inspiration is in the porcelain medium itself and its ability to be analogous to the growth patterns of plants during the coil-forming process. More recent work features a variety of integrated oxide bands, which accentuate the inherent nature of this coil-forming process.
