Cape Town Creatives is an online community and directory of creatives. Our purpose is to showcase Cape Town’s unique talent and to network creatives across creative disciplines. We love the idea of a one-stop 'shop' where people can find the best of Cape Town’s creative talent on a single website. We feature architects, animators, cartoonists, sculptors, ceramicists, photographers, artists, illustrators and designers of all kinds.
About the lighthouse
Our icon, the lighthouse, is an important image for Cape Town Creatives. We wanted to find a unique, yet relevant icon to represent Cape Town and its creatives. Amazingly, there are 8 lighthouses dotted around the Cape Peninsula. Creatives release targeted beams of light into the areas around them just like lighthouses. This light refers to innovation. Creativity cuts through the confusion to find solutions to problems or an opportunity for change.
